if i load photoshop on my main new screen white backgrounds are showing as a very light blue, and then on the other screens it's white.

i did get a warning message about a colour profile being incorrect but ignored it as i was like WTF is this, however seems it was important

any suggestions on how i can sort this?

there is whites on the main screen, however just not in photosop

Is this not a graphics driver issue, or monitor setting issue, rather than a Photoshop issue?

I would reinstall the graphics card drivers, and make sure you delete any old profiles which could be corrupted.

Also in Control Panel -> Colour Management check your colour profiles are all correct. Different Windows 8 apps use different colour spaces for some unknown reason. Windows installed my monitor driver which changed the colour profile to some disgusting Samsung thing, but it took me ages to notice as the only app that used it ws Windows Photo Viewer. Everything else was using sRGB still.

Yep. Windows Photo Viewer always uses a Color Space Profile that's associated with your monitor. These are total garbage 90% of the time so you need to go into your colour profile setup and use a different profile. sRGB is usually the ticket.
