really wanting to improve my knowledge of php further and although reading/researching online is a great way to learn at first, a really great php book for advanced users i think would be best for me and should hopefully be able to teach me how to use php to it's fullest.

i read once before on here that a good one was "PHP 5 Objects, Patterns, and Practice" but finding this new in uk is hard and also a little concered that perhars you lot can reccomend me something better?

thanks.

PHP Objects, Patterns, & Practice 2nd Edition is on Amazon UK

Tend to have a lot more generic books for OO stuff, and a couple of Wrox, O'Reilly and APress ones for backup on side topics (MSQL/MySQL, UML, OO, etc).

Depends on the project and area you want to investigate more really.

I recommend anything from the Wrox range (have a look in Waterstones), generally red covers with the author photos on the front.
