PHP Display images from network share

Hey guys, havin a bit of a bad day to be honest - I can't think how to display images from a Windows network share using PHP.

Basically I have a list of photos in jpg format on another server (given appropriate permissions), but can't seem to get them to show?

Any ideas appreciated

is the web server running on windows? map a drive letter to the share then add the folder as an alias in apache (or virtual directory in IIS).
