php form submission help

Ok, so not a mailing list but something easier perhaps?

I want to make a form then php comes a long and submits the form to an email address. It also writes some of the fields to a file none of which can be seen by the user, however, when they click on submit, they then get redirected to a 'thank you' style page.

Any hints?

I've recently been trying to do a similar thing.

I'm a PHP noob so can't really help with anything in depth, but here's the code from the php script to send the e-mail...

Pretty straight forward and a good starting point. If you have knowledge of PHP, you should be able to amend it to suit.
