PHP Link extractor?

I am looking to build somthing like this script:

http://www.web-inspect.com/link-extractor.php

But i dont really know where to start it's been a while since i programmed any php. Any pointers or links to info would be great!

Fetch http://www.google.com/search?q=link:robm.me.uk and then scrape the bit that says:

Results 1 - X of about Y linking to robm.me.uk. (Z seconds)

Thanks for the reply, but it's not a link popularity script if you type in a url it will go to that page extract all the links on that page and display them.

What i am trying to do it extract a list of links from various websites put them into a database for later use!

Idealy i want to extract from each link

the domain e.g site.com
the link e.g site.com/as/sa/page.html
the link description e.g click here for my page

i will be happy just to get the links though for now!
