php millions into shorthand?

PHP:

$conversion_value = 20000000 * 0.77;

echo number_format($conversion_value);

It displays as 15,479,000

How can I make it display as 15.5?

The 20,000,000 could be 200,000,000 or even 200,000...

Divide by 1 million, and then round to nearest .5

Where X is 15,479,000 and N is 0.5:

round((X / 1000000) / N) * N

PHP:

$conversion_value = (20000000 * 0.77)/1000000;

echo round($conversion_value, 1)

That should do what you want.
