PHP script to display RSS feeds

As most of you will no doubt know I'm trying to find my feet in the world of websites, I'm pleased with my progress so far but do apologise if these threads are too basic for this forum.

Anyway I was chuffed when my javascript displayed my RSS feed in my website, little did I know it doesn't automatically update

My 1st thought was , PHP must do this, and quite simple too

That said, google yeilds no results, or I;m not googling the right terms

Any hints tips, pointers or PHP scripts?

I'm looking to display the feed within a current page I have
