PHPMyAdmin

Hi guys.

I'm having trouble setting up a new database as per the installation instructions for Wordpress.

1. I can't seem to find anyway of creating a new database
2. Nor can I find how to create a new user

Most hosting companies will provide a control panel for creating the actual databases and the users and then PHP MyAdmin is just there to manage the databases you've created.

Click on databases + create new database (I have a newer version than yours)

Normally a tab called priviledges -> add new user.

I am just wondering if you have permissons to create users + databases.

Looks like you've just got one datebase where you can only add tables.

Control Panel offers no help

Get some proper hosting

Check your package if you can have databases or not, should say as one of the selling points

If not, contact their support - it's what they're there for, and what you pay them for.

I've just used the main database.

It seems to be doing the job.

Will I have any problems by doing so?

I shouldn't right? It wasn't being used at all before.
