Physically which side are cores 0 and 1 on a Q6600?

I'm having very odd temperature readings since I installed my new cooler, cores 0 and 1 are reading 74C and cores 2 and 3 are reading 58C. which side are cores 0 and 1 compared to the knotches? are there any schematics out there that will show it?

0 and 1 are on the left side..or on the side with the knotches.

i don't really. but why would they go from right to left?

yep 0 and 1 are on the notched side.
