physx cards

Can anyone give me some advice on physxs cards.
Been told i can use a 9600gso for physx. and run my 4870x2 for the rest. Is this poss?

I heard that physx has been disabled where the primary card is not Nvidia.

on Win 7 with the community patch on nvidia driver since they disabled the function

if you use old drivers, then yes.... But Nvidia have crippled their latest drivers so you cannot use hardware that you have paid for... Way to go!

Since driver version 186, Nvidia blocks physx if a non Nvidia GPU is found. Although as mentioned there is a beta patch for windows 7 that can remove that blocker.

I heard the beta patch works well for quite a few. Its worth a shot.
