PhysX on AMD ?

Hi, ive recently just watched a youtube video and ive heard that physx can be run off the CPU with an AMD card, if the drivers were installed. This was the first time ive heard this so i wanted to ask if it really possible, and if it is, is it really worth it?

hint: Physx is Nvidia's proprietary engine.

people have done it with some games like borderlands 2.
I don't know how you do it and can't be bothered to google for you

You can do it by just activating it in most games after installing the driver. However, i wouldn't recommend it as it will seriously affect your frames to a noticeable amount.

This thread wasn't about asking how I can do it. I asked if anyone has done it and if it's worth it. I can't really ask google if they have done it

I played Batman AC with PhsyX on CPU it lowed FPS a lot but game was still very playable.
