PhysX settings

have been messing about with SLI setting as I am having issues with Far Cry 4 (again) since the last patch and decide to re-enable SLI and noticed I have to the right of SLI configuration in the Nvidia Control Panel a PhysX heading which under processor is set to Auto select (recommended).

But I also have a choice of 670 1 or 2 or CPU and underneath that dropdown box I have a tick box entitled dedicate to PhysX.

Can anyone simply explain what setting I should adopt and any other relevant information?

Set it to auto and dont check "dedicate"

as above, very little need to dedicate a GPU to PhysX these days. Despite word of mouth, PhysX is pretty well multi-threaded

If you don't play any NVidia PhysX games what is the point of installing PhysX?. I once tested installing just the graphics card driver and set cpu as PhysX in the NVidia control panel, the games I played actually played exactly the same with or without PhysX installed and enabled auto or dedicated. Your experience might be different to mine.

Not sure why you answer my question with a question, as I am looking for advice on the settings and no little of PhysX but will look anything to try and solve on-going issues with Far Cry 4.

PhysX isn't the problem sadly and it is a game problem.
