Pick a car from this list

The guy above lives in Stoke on Trent and thinks Hammerited red calipers look good. He thinks an E92 looks better than an E60. Say no more. ;)

Whats the point in this thread?

They are all BMW's, isnt this like "spec me a sales/company car" ?

Also whats the point in asking for peoples opinions then just arguing against anything they say?

Isnt that the definition of trolling ?

If so thats a good 9 pages of troll points. More troll than Susan Boyle.

You really are a die hard BMW fan aren't you.

I don't know a great deal about any of them. Going from what you've written though, id go for option 2 because its the fastest and i don't like the sound of the others much.

Out of interest, would you ever consider a car other than a BMW, [TW]Fox? Would you ever entertain the idea or has the next car absolutely, definitely got to be a beemer? I'm caught between feeling slightly worried by your utter adoration of the brand whilst also feeling a bit impressed that you care so much :)

I'd choose the 335i from the available choices for much the same reasons given by everyone else who plumped for it. Just doing some reading on it - I didn't realise it was all wheel drive.

We've managed to have 5 pages of interesting discussion until you popped along. What is it with this forum and the word 'troll' lately? It's like being 8 years old at school and discovering a new swear word and then repeating it despite not even knowing what it means.

Given that yours is probably the first post in the thread about posters rather than cars, if anyone is a 'troll' its you, but then thats always the case with your sort of post.

Absolutely, just nothing else in this particular range appeals. There are many other cars I like. I just cant afford any of them :p

It's not, it's RWD. We dont get the AWD one here, it's the 335Xi thats AWD.

None all to old and slow (not the E60), and they are BMWs :)

Odd comment. What can you think of thats both newer *and* faster, then? And the E60 is the slowest car in the list.

Oh that's a shame. AWD and twin turbo had me thinking happy thoughts. I'd still plump for that one out of the choices. When are you going to buy?

The 2005+ (third gen) Lexus GS is a nice car too, and can be bought used for much lower prices than a BMW 5 or 3 series, it's highly specced, nice to drive (really it is, try it!) and actually looks half decent too. I'm not really suggesting you buy one, but I think it's worth consideration, it does everything right really and little to nothing wrong. The only thing I can really fault it on is to say it's a lot like other Lexus in that it's perhaps a bit souless.

335d - residuals will probably be miles better, plus fuel is only going one way.

If it was a sports car I wouldn't want a diesel, but none of these are exactly b-road blasters.

Audi have no steering feel whatsoever, in my experience, the wheel is so light and doesn't really reflect what is happening too much. It makes parking easy though :)

E60 was meant to be newer, my mistake

and I dont think BMWs are good value for money.

If I want fast I buy a "Real" sports car, not a beefed up Rep car.

What a strange person.

But its not a discussion.

The OP specifically stated he is not interested in a REAL LIFE purchase for himself. Its just a hypothetical list/fantasy.

When someone takes the time to post, they just get every point they have made taken apart by the OP.

Whats the point?

If the OP was making a purchase fair enough, but he either cant afford any of these cars, is just dreaming/speculating, or just wants to bait people into a BMW orientated argument.

Sorry if I am being a little blunt, thats just the way I see it.

However, I would have the E92 335D, for its ludicrous amount of torque and the way it can deliver that power through the gears. Makes for an altogether different experience than a revvy petrol. An experience I rather enjoyed when I had one.
