Hi All

Well im getting a itch to Overclock my 480 but i know mu 550W PSU with a 28A 12v rail is not going to love it. So i have got £80 to spend :) i was looking at XFX Pro 850W Core Edition Power Supply, how ever its out of stock :-( i can wait a week or so if they are getting more i guess. but what would you recommend ? i was going to go all out and get a 1000W one but i cant justify it. i know £80 is not a lot but it will have to do im afraid. i am not worried about modular as i have cable management area to hide any unused cables. i will be upgrading my cpu and board to i5 in a couple of months. only 2 Hdd's but i have a 128gb ssd to go in when i can be bothered to reinstall. one DVD drive, c2d oc'd and a 480, thats it.

Cheers

cheers guys surely its worth waiting for the 750 core edition to come into stock over the 650w just to future proof that little more ? The coolermaster one looks good value too.. ohhhh choices :S

I've always been a fan of the Corsair power supplies too (hence my current rig having the 850w Corsair Pro Gold PSU). They are also built like a tank. Mine have been rock solid for me, and take anything I throw at them.

all I can say is don't get something made by icute, just for the amount of jip you will get from it.
*bows head in shame*

well i think its between the XFX 850 and the corsair gaming 700, really cant choose both get really good reviews and are the same price. think im going to have to sleep on it between the two. The XFX might handle two 480s later if i choose to SLI ?

I'd probably go with the XFX 850w PSU too, if there isn't much between the two choices. Simply because it can handle a higher load, and will be more future proof as you start to add more components to your system. This was my thinking when I got my 850w PSU.

The £80 XFX 850w is out of stock, the only one in stock is £115.

I'd go for the Corsair GS700, cant go wrong with Corsair PSUs.
