After 9 years of living in London, I have finally been a victim of pick-pocketing.
It's a shame it was my uninsured iPhone, DAMN THOSE &*$%£!!

So now I need a new phone, I am due an upgrade but will probably now wait for a phone that I really like the look of to come out, any ideas what I should use in the meantime? I'm thinking 6310i ? Best phone ever?

Any other ideas?

Well as you're going to wait you may as well just use whatever you have lying around the house. Everyone has a spare stashed away somewhere.

May I ask where you were in London when this happened? Will hopefully help the rest of us be more on our guard as it could be a hotspot!

Can't be bothered to multi quote but - it was on a bus from Clapham to Stockwell, and am completely annoyed that I had it stolen, I had only bought it in December to the tune of £500.
Unfortunately I don't have any old phones lying around, I always sell them.

The hardest thing is going to be taking a dump, I can't remember the last time I didn't have an i-poo

hardest thing would be not to contact the bus company which has cctv footage in the bus, see where you were and who was beside you et voila found the pick pocket. file a police report rather than spend time on a forum. return of iphone and joy to the world once more ;)

Well your iPhone will say this:

Depends how high they were dropped from, whether or not they landed in a puddle or if they were dropped in an area with no reception. You have my sympathies as regardless of how it is gone, but not so sure of the pick-pocket hypothesis.
