Pick up new car or wait until 1st March?

Hi guys,

My new Golf is arriving very early compared to plan - the start of next week. The dealer said when I sell the car it would be classed as a 2015 registration but won't have 15 plates and estimated the loss of value impact at £500. Not sure how accurate a statement this is... The plate doesn't bother me but it will probably bother the next owner. I'll also be doing a lot of long range driving in Feb as my brother's baby is due.

Would you wait for the 25ish days or would you pick it up straight away? I'm pretty excited to pick it up.

What spec/engine/colour have you gone for?

3dr Limestone Grey GTD with DSG, Dynaudio Soundpack, Discover Nav, and Park Assist. Really like the dark grey but it's a really common colour so this was next on the list.

I'll be using private plates but the 15 doesn't bother me. Might do the next owner though.

Looks like I'll be waiting (impatiently!) for it then.

I'll be raking up the miles on my Fiesta at the minute and will be putting another 600 on it in Feb on top of my normal commute (bringing it to 13,500 after a year). Hoping that affects the resale value of the Fiesta less than taking the Golf early. I'm selling the Fiesta privately.
