As title. These have only just gone on sale as far as I know, so it was a bit of a gamble having only seen it running HD image in a local shop. First impressions were excellent, very clear image with good blacks from a cheap (£40) freeview set top box connected via RGB scart, with no adjustments made to brightness, contrast, etc. It only needed slight adjustments to the picture to get an even better image. It must be good 'cos even the missus remarked how nice it looked.
Dvd playback was where it really scored, the picture being VERY clear, sharp with very nice colours and again, nicely reproduced blacks.
having had it a coupla days now, the image has seemed to get better, especially on freeview, probably down to this "burn in" I've read about.
It comes with 2 x HDMI, two scarts, component, audio in, and I believe one of the HDMI sockets takes a DVI adapter for PC. the speakers are not detachable unfortunately, but the speaker panels are only a coupla inces wide so the overall width is still not too big. the build quality is very good and the overall appearance is very nice (to me anyway). When I saw this screen running, it was showing the same image from an HD disc, which was also on an HD sharp GD7E and an HD marantz, and the picture was to all intents and purposes, identical, but the phillips was roughly £300 cheaper.
If anyone is in the market for a Hi Def, high res 32" screen, I'd suggest they put this on their shortlist, deffo worth a look.
I'll do my best to answer any questions if needed. Pics to follow shortly.
