I have had a Tesla model 3 as my daily driver for 3 years and I’m a big fan of the EV concept. I have a 718 Boxter S (and a couple of other bits) but it’s really not getting used at all.

So I decided to give my partner the Tesla and buy my self something that is still practical and a EV.

I started looking at 33k Taycan 4S' but found at that price point I was getting a 2020 car with high miles.

I also could not find the spec liked, most of the toys I wanted where standard on the turbo.

This one popped up on ebay so the next day I took the trip up north and bought it.

2023, 43k miles with almost all the options I was looking for.

I went for the Cross Turismo because we are moving to cyprus and needed something with more ground clearance.

I have to say. The car is amazing, it's just so fast, handles well for the size and very comfortable. It feels really solid

That looks terrific. I am a big fan of the Cross Turismo.

I probably won't ever be able to buy one so I look forward to your experiences.

Looks great and pretty much the only EV other than mine I’d consider in the future. Don’t loads of things go wrong on these though? Fine if you have a good warranty.

There are some common issues which you see cropping up regularly for some owners, then again some people don't have any issues and some folk have nothing but trouble. Either way, I wouldn't recommend running a Taycan without a Porsche warranty............it would be a massive gamble! I've had the common 'Chassis Fault' warning message which was fixed quickly under warranty and a few spurious 'Charging Port Impaired' messages but they seem to just be glitches which sort themselves out, randomly. Have to say, my local OPC are brilliant and I have nothing but praise for them.

@Dr House - lovely looking example. Gentian Blue? I've had my 2024 J1.1 GTS Sport Turismo since August last year and love it to bits. My first EV and first Porsche, makes me smile everytime I drive it. I'm a little down on power at 600bhp compared to your 700bhp but good grief, these things are mind bendingly quick! And despite weighing a couple of tons they steer and handle magnificently.

Be interesting to see hear what kind of range you are getting, the Turbo S has the lowest of the Taycan range but of course like any EV, it all depends on a number of factors including road type, speed, temperature etc. I'm now starting to see a full charge of about 227 ish as we enter warmer Spring temps, Winter was around 200 ish, Summer sees me with about 240-250 ish.

Some good info and a decent community over at the Taycan forums - https://www.taycanforum.com/ and there are a few good UK FB groups too.
