So I sold both my 911 and GT4. I wanted something new that was not a 911. I was willing to consider anything. Strangely I bought a 4.2 V8 cayenne but the sale fell though and I spotted this.

I also picked up a run around.

So first the fiesta, it’s a 1l EcoBoost Titanium X with 125 BHP.

The fiesta has come a long long way since my last one, its such a good little engine, it has full leather, Bluetooth, quick clear windscreen. It seems to have more than enough power for what it is.

The M6, well it’s a animal, so quick, the sound is amazing. It does not have as much grip as my 911 did and its quick easy to light up the traction. Its awful on fuel, I think I got 20MPG on 40 mile run home and I was not pushing it.

I love the fact that you can change the steering, suspension and engine settings independently.

So far I have not driven it much but will get it out for a proper drive in the next few days. Its nice to be in a modern interior with lots of toys, the heads up display is really good and well worth having.

If I was to buy another one I would definitely go for one with B&O sound and Nappa leather.

Its been a long time since I have owned a BMW, I don’t think this car will last that long but I think I am going to look for a nice i8 to run along side it.

Its definitely a step back in terms of the other cars I have owned but you have to remember they where £60 to £90k this is only low to mid 40s. Personally I think it looks much better than a M5 and has a much nicer interior.

I just took it out for another spin as someone said the back end is really twitchy in the wet. Hopefully I will get to take it for a proper drive soon, so far I'm happy with it, I love the colour.

Awesome car.

Also, assuming that's your wife in the background. She does not look happy :)

lol no its my Mum, im 35:D

But yes she was not pleased when I rocked up in this

No. I did not. I just put a deposit down and picked it up today.

Thanks Vox. I agree the 6GC is about the best car they make.

Why didn't you get a Fiesta ST ?

If I remember right there not really that much difference in price between a fiesta Titanium X & fiesta ST

I did not even look at the price of the ST but I think it would have cost a lot more, this was only 7k for a 2013 car with 39k miles, one owner.

I've never driven one, but can anyone else answer this question - is an M6 'special' enough to require another car as a run around?

I know it's an expensive car to purchase, and maintain, but of all the cars at that price point, isn't it one of the most accomplished at being used on a day to day basis?

Its value is going to drop like a stone regardless of miles put on it. Just seems a bit redundant to me to buy a second car - but hey, what do I know? :)

It will get used day to day but there are times when I would rather take something small out. Also sometimes its hard to justify taking a 100 mile trip to have a coffee with a friend when I know its going to cost me the best part of £70. Its just nice to have a extra optio.

18mpg vs 40mpg?

Wrong House y

Fiesta against my Polo :D

Meet you in tesco carpark:D

The M6 is a lovely car. How are the seats in the back and what's it like to park? It's quite long isn't it...?

Its HUGE, well for me its huge. Im struggling a little with the size.

Don't get me wrong the interior is nice, I just expected more, again regarding M5, never sat in the new M6.

But yeah we refer to it as a missile, forget corners and bumpy roads, save it for straight lines and unleash hell.

But agreed a 911 will destroy an M5/M6 on a country road or in less than ideal conditions even though its over 100 horses down, just far more competent handling thing.

Yep this, I have never been in a car with such bad traction. Lets see what its like when its not wet in a few days.

I will take some photos tomorrow.

I went to tesco which is only a few miles away, did not put my foot down but there was quite a bit of traffic, got 10 mpg!!!!

It was only a couple of miles so I don't think its representative, I think I will get around 18mpg in town.

I love the HUD such a shame they don't do it in the 911.

Lol. It's a i8. Packing a 1.5l engine and 100k price tag before discount. It's not mine yet but I have put in a bid for a white one so maybe soon. I considered one a year ago but was not too impressed. However there is 23k discount to be had on a new one now and it's really a impressive machine as long as you don't try and go over 70mph

So I have now had the car for a while and I'm getting the feel of it. I hated it at first but its now growing on me. Not enough that I would want to keep it for too long but I just did a 5h drive across the county in it and its such a good cruiser. I even got 26 mpg out of it. If you don't mind literally burning money and want a big, quick, comfortable boat to drive around this will fit the bill.

Its got so much power its unreal, absolutely no traction in the wet but not bad at all in the dry.

When you put the steering into sports plus its actually very focus with good feedback.

I am really pleased I got to own a big fast V8 but for me its not the right car and it will be moved on very soon.

the seats have so many adjustments it takes time but when you find the right position its so comfortable. I think a well specced petrol 6 series would make a fantastic every day car

So I sold the car today, I am more or less even on it but I will be glad to see the back of it.

I think I have done around 600 miles since November, I have always wanted to try a big V8 and a proper M car. Its now out of system.

In terms of running costs its not been too bad, insurance was £1k, road tax £500ish, £80 for one months warranty that I paid on it since the warranty expired, £260 fine I got because I forgot to pay the road tax :D.

I have started looking for something else now, I don't really know what, I will keep the I8 but it would be nice to find something else different, maybe a SL500, X6 50M or something equality stupid to entertain me.

someone in my hospital has the LFA it looks a bit crazy.

Maybe I should just not bother and stick to what I have. I have no need for another car.
