Picked up something new MK2

I just cant seem to get my head around your car purchasing and decisions :p

Awesome car though really not a fan of that interior, your m6 will be a much nicer place to be!

Old man and I took one of these out and we were left a bit underwhelmed. He had a F10 Competition Pack M5 at the time and we thought the M5's interior was much nicer and better put together. Didn't feel particularly fast for its looks and the biggest turn off was how other people treated you. Everyone wanted to race.

Ended up with a ghastly white Convertible M6 Competition Pack instead...people make strange decisions.

Should we read anything in to the fact that after a second month the most note worthy feature is the sticker under the charger flap? :p

Haha! Fear not, it's just a result of our content schedule - the long-term updates always run as a long intro, then a short 90w update, then a longer piece, etc. It's copy from the magazine, but published later for web use :)

Should have bought a tesla :p

I have used one quite a lot. Does not do anything for me. I just think it looks so Boring

Agree the interior does not feel that special but it's ok. The M6 is much nicer.

My purchasing decisions need to fit the following requirements:
Not too much depreciation
Fun to own or drive
Not too old.
Not too expensive to maintain

Did you test drive this before buying Dr house?

No I just did not have time but I have driven one before.

A mate had one of these on loan for a weekend, he wasn't impressed at all and ended up buying an M6 instead. Completely different car so I'd say he wasn't ever the target market for the i8.

Drove one of these for a bit but didn't really enjoy it in the end. I felt more wrong with it than right with it, but different and not a bad car. Brakes seemed odd to me, massively over assisted and also getting in an out was a pain in the bum due to the large sills you had to clamber over. Though it went well and sounded OK it was a processed sound and the car never felt special with a remote feel to it.

Be interesting to see how you get on. I know early ones have been trading with a number starting with a 5 :)

Yah they have been moving at high 50's low 60's so being 2015 I think I did ok but it's probably going to cost me 5k if I keep it through the summer.

Yes as you say it's not all that involving to drive but it's something a bit different. We have onsite charging at work which is helpful.

Looks excellent, still can't un-see how they look to be crapping out a 911 however lol.

So things went wrong. I'm working 12 days straight quite long hours which the dealer know before he took my deposit so he knew I would not be able to collect the car for 2 weeks.

He started pressuring me to pay them now as my 1k deposit was not enough so I walked away And got my deposit back.

On the upside I bought another one. It was a little more money but it's almost a 2016 car and it has comfort access, it's the same colour combo.

It's due to arrive in 2 days. Can't wait.
