Absolutely love it, I didn't like to leave the prelude at the garage, gave her a pat on the bonnet for 3 years faithful service :(

First impressions are absolutely fantastic, loving the engines willingness to pull you forward and the 4wd grips like nothing else.

I've only driven it a little bit (i'm at work now) and I have a DVD MP3 stereo to fit tomorrow so expect a better report then :)

heres another piccy

Very nice car Hate, would like one myself but dont know how performance would compare to my vtec....

i pulled a 6.2s 0-60 on my g-meter with 4 adults in the car - gonna try some more tonight with just me.

in a straight line its remarkaly similar, but the power delivery with turbo is so much more effortless - you kinda get pushed forward on a wave of power.

currently completely standard 240ish horsepower

mods planned are the usual exhaust / intake / controller which will give approx 300BHP before you need to spend more and more money.

My plans are to keep it relatively civilised thou, so no overly loud bean cans!

I need to take pics for the insurance company's "agreed valuation" nonsense, so ill get it cleaned and polished and take pics tomorrow :D

meh, just looks like one of thouse normal celicas with stick on tat ;) :p

funnily enough, half the reason I got one is most celicas on the road are the bog standard NA version that people have made look like fours - so its as anonymous as these cars get!
i paid £5000 + prelude (that included service, mot, warranty, cambelt, front suspension, cat1)

Saw it this morning mate on the way to work, looks really tidy mate!

Was wondering why the prelude was looking a bit different :D

as you can imagine i spent most of last night going up and down the A27 between the uni and lewes :D

well, once i've paid off the £2000 odd I got on 0% credit card (should take 2 months) and i've moved house (july). I shall commence with fiddling

nah, they hold their value pretty well - insurance is only £600 per year fully comp, 24 yrs old etc.

besides, its a blast to drive !

will do, I filled her up with £25 of optimax when I bought her and it lasted 125 miles of thrashing, so not too bad!

I've been in one of the older shape ones, it was running some mods as it has a turbo timer and boost gauge in, was running 1bar boost and tbh i thought it was a bit underwhelming, seemed slugish to me, I can only assume there was something wrong with it though. They are nice, but if i wanted a 4wd loony wagon i'd sooner get a scoob or evo, GT4's arent the obvious choice.

the older ones are actually heavier, nearer 1500kg and 200bhp standard, the ST205 is 1300kg and 250bhp standard.

on the owners club the old ones are known as the ST1 overweight 5

I chose the GT4 over the scoob or evo cause I didn't want something absolutely mental - I wanted something that was like the prelude, but torquier that drove at least the rears. also the GT4 's insurance is pretty much half the other rally slags :p
