Picking a channel

Seems I'm in a busy area for wi-fi.

Which channel numbers would you pick in the below populated area, mine are the asus ones. I'm not sure if its a good idea to overlap or try and pick the weakest gaps.

Try to stick to 1, 6 and 11. Choose anything else and you're just adding to the problem.

If everyone was playing the game you wouldn't have any of that overlapping mess on the higher channels.

You should pick 6 and 11. And use 5GHz where possible.

I'd pick 1 (Yellow Asus) and 6 (Blue Asus) for a first attempt.

1 is only suffering from Co-Channel interference.

Of the other two 6 is has less problems.

Ok, I've gone 6 and 11. 5ghz has a pretty poor range unfortunately but I do use it downstairs.

I'd personally set on Auto and have a little faith in the router's ability to pick out and use an appropriate channel. The wifi neighbourhood in my area is very busy with signals coming and going all the time and I find my router changing channel frequently to maintain a good connection to my devices.
