Pico 4 out soon?

Ok, very quick first impressions from initial setup.

Packaging 10/10
Unboxing 10/10

Battery access to controllers is pretty cool and makes it easy to remove and swap out.

No dead pixels or dust, however when I first booted the headset, I got an error that required a hard reboot.
Been fine since then. Updated firmware and setup the account was very easy.

Headset feels fine on my head, I can see what people are saying about the foam interface, but it's not too bad actually for me.

Just found in the settings you can add a toggle to the home menu to power on and off the headset.

Thats as far as I have got, but so far it looks great and feels ok.

ok i decided to power it on, after all, i got 14 days right ? :D

first thing i noticed when booting up "PICO" it said, and i noticed it was actually very clear, it was really sharp. first thing it told me to do was WIFI, then it updated, got to the home screen and i was like FOV is an improvement and the Sharpness was better than the Q2

i don't want to buy anything at the moment, but i might well have to get VD to play all my games :p

isnt there another way of streaming ? like any built-in software ? or is VD the only way ?

I think this is what you need.

https://www.picoxr.com/global/support/download-center or the steam app

Would any of you who have the Pico 4 recommend it for just standalone vr??

I had a quest 2 and was good but quite heavy and was giving my a sore neck using more than 30 mins.
I was waiting for psvr 2 news but the lighter pico with better lenses has me very tempted. I don't own a gaming pc so I'd use standalone only

odd

my PC app of pico link cant find my headset

in the pico headset, i click on streaming assistant and when i click on "connect" it says the PC app is out of date, but its been updated ffs

Guys...

Bought Virtual desktop to play steam games...

It also loads up my Oculus library.

What is this witchcraft lol
Don't have a pico 4 yet but did you buy vd from the pico store or from steam? I think I bought it on the quest store because it says I don't have it on steam?
