Well I didn't go for an slr in the end, as I couldn't really justify the extra money for something I only use now and again.

Went for a s9600 instead, took it out for the first time on Tuesday when I went fishing.

Found a couple of inquisitive dragonfly to snap.

I've got paint on the puter and that's it for photo altering lol so never played around with cropping and bordering as of yet.

not brilliant but i'm not nearly as good at PS as some of the others here are (:()
(it would also look better done from the original (not one scaled down for the net))

edit: and infact i think i liked my origianl unedited crop better :( :p

yeah, i was meant to just blur +darken the edges/corners, but i ballsed up :rolleyes::(

Not really liking that. To me it's randomly blurring the image and isn't needed. Blurring shouldn't be used to frame a image unless it for depth of field which in this case it isn't. I like his original image better.

I agree. In this instance I can actually see where the radial blur starts and finishes. Work with what you have got, not add something that is not there!
