I noticed today the Dell UltraSharp U2410 supports Picture in Picture functionality and this got me to think about the use of this functionality in a PC monitor. I can see the benefit in a television as you can watch one channel and have another channel inside to see when something eventfull happen there. However I cannot really think of how this will benefit a pc monitor as you can already do this by opening multiple windows. I suppose you would just be able to have the non-active window in front. Are there more to it that I am missing here?

Only problem with PIP is that it only works with one of the digital inputs, you can use two DVI connections or DVI + HDMI so can be a bit arsey.

I use a second screen to have more real estate - but then again I don't have a 24" currently. Was just wondering how people are using PIP as I still can't really see the use of it if only used as a pc monitor.

pip would be awesome, i don't have it on either of mine, but i play playstation on my main monitor and watch movies etc at the same time in the other. If i could quickly see what was on my other screen with PIP it would save so much time swapping back and forth.
