Due to budget etc and the current card war that is going on and that i cannot decide which card to go for GTs, GTX etc I've decided to take a step back.

THis means I need a graphics card that will quite simply be good for pictures, video editing, watching the odd DVD and at most very basic gaming. I'm looking for something very low budget. CAn someone suggest my best stop gap graphics card?

Thanks

OcUK GeForce 8600 GT 256MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail £64.61 ;)

£50ish, this card will shortly become simply backup once I make my decision and get a top notch card for games i.e. GTS etc.

In all honesty for the time being ti will be just to get a decent picture on screen as my DS3P has no onboard graphics. I will be tinkering with overclocking etc before I get anywhere near proper gaming.

Yep, cheap as but will still allow some basic gaming :p

I sense the sarcasm, it will be to tide me by for a while till I decide which big momma card I'll get although pretty much decided on 8800GTS just wasiting to see if the price drops

OCUK 7300GT then :) can't go wrong with £25.

I agree with this. For a budget of £50 you can't get much better than this card and even then, it's half that price! ;)
