Pidgin - popup notifications?

Hi there,

I tried pidgin today and i have to say - i am impressed by its simplicity.

...but how do i get it to give notification popups like msn messenger? (the notifications you get in the bottom right when people sign in....start talking to you...etc...)

It's in the plugins section. It's already installed, you just need to turn it on. There are a load of other neat plugins there too. Check 'em out.

EDIT: I'm doing this from memory, but I think the plugin is called Guifications.

Had a look in the plugin section, there is nothing like that in there from what i have seen?

Hmm, I'm sure it used to be included by default. Maybe they dropped it recently. Anyway, the software still exists: http://plugins.guifications.org/trac/

Hmm I just installed Pidgin and I can't see an option anywhere.
