Piercing people, help please!

I am going to start stretching my ear lobe and would like to know what sizes to go up in. I don't wanna go up to anything too big perhaps 4-6mm. I have a normal surgical steel hoop in atm, so what do I put in next and then after that up til the size I want? The piercing place where I live said to increase size every week. Also could you give me any sites for nice jewelery? Ta.

Would do it fine.

For jewellery, Wildcat are good as far as I know, BME's shop (can't link) but they're in america so possibly a bit silly for a small order.

Nowhere local to you for it?

So if I buy a 4mm tube then decide I wanna go bigger do I have to buy a bigger ring or just put a bigger tube in?

There is the local piercing shop but they are expensive. Just seen some tubes for around the £4 mark with free p&p.

Oh and to the OP - Do not get into the habit of getting bigger and more hardcore, I know someone with 25mm's in and it's just stupid, they're like elephant hoops.

Your nose will turn black and fall off!

I joke. Above about 20mm+ it won't heal properly on its own, you'll most likely need it stitched. My left lobe will need stitching.

Whatever you do, DON'T DO ONE SIZE A WEEK.

Pay attention to your body. The cheapest/easiest way to stretch (up to around 6mm) is by using barbells...They also look ******* hardcore because hardly anyone wears big barbells in lobes (I had a pair of 12mm ones in at one point...)

So 1.6mm to 2.4mm to 3.2mm to 4mm to 5mm to 6mm...

The alternative is to use white plastic pins if you can find them - they're made by breed316 (http://www.breed316.co.uk/pages/steelSK.html - Stretching pins) but Breed only sell in large quantities so you need a friendly, knowledgeable piercer who can bulk/trade purchase.

Alternatively, I can get you a set to get you to 6mm. I'll find prices out and get back to you.

Stretch up, wait 2-3 weeks, let your body tell you if it's ready then stretch again. Go slowly, NEVER force it and be careful.

What do you mean 'heal'?

If you mean 'close up if you change your mind', You'll have trouble getting anything above 8mm to close completely.

If you mean heal as in healing a wound/piercing then...There should be nothing to heal. If you're bleeding, you're doing it wrong.

Both at 16mm, heading to 30mm then deciding if I want to go bigger.

30mm isn't much...Bear has BIG lobes...HE can pull them over the top of his head...And stick them in his mouth:
