Indeed they are wood pigeons and are decent to eat, we got some of em from a fish mongers(hah ok.) in scouts as a kid and plucked gutted em etc, i toko the foot home but i duno wer it went.. so somewhere in my stuff theres a pigeons foot.
 
These are Wood pigeon and they taste lovely!!!!

Not rural burds usually, may see them on the outskirts of rural areas but millions can be found in the countryside living in woods. Wood pigeon shooting is one of britains best loved shooting sports.

The easiest way to kill a pigeon or flock of them is to get some bread and soak it in bicarbonate of soda. Once its dry feed it them.

Pigeons cant excrete gas, so they explode.
 
There's a pair of pigeons that keep perching on a tree in my back garden. They were trying it on IN MID AIR the other day, and keep perching over my brand new bistro set; pooing all over it.

I'll get 'em, I will.
 
You sure in the first picture that they weren't whispering saying, " Look theres that perv azza from next door taking pictures of us again...."
