Pillion Cover

it's not very often, if ever, i recommend insurance companies but here's my view:

AA insurance - great price but complete ripoff if you have to cancel a policy as they make you pay the full year in full.

H&R insurance - i had my bike insured with these and they have been brilliant. before i came out of hospital it had been settled for a very good price and the optional health insurance i took out if still ongoing. recommended due to the fact i was incapacitated and they could have easily fobbed my off for at least 6 months!

ditto on H&R, been with them for years and they always hunt down best deal for me... they just swapped me to NIG, but I can't moan at about £230 fully comp :)

Hmmm seems Even though my new quotes are much cheaper most of them for total excess I would have to pay the first £900! thats crazy lol they were not that high last year and I was paying nearly double for insurance! Would be totally pointless in my mind to claim if it was my own fault dont think (minus whole bike) anything would be more than £900 to replace or fix myself!

Yea the quotes online as soon as you add mods seem to rocket 200% :/ Just going to call them all up I suppose, Would prefere like I had last year where you can have mods but they wont replace them in a claim.

Insurance reviews on the web aren't that reliable as people normally only post about problems (rather than praising a successful claim) so take out of that what you will. But...I was with MCE last year for my car. After taking out a policy with them I heard nothing but bad press about them, general consensus being very cheap to get you signed up but afterwards very poor on service.

When it came to renewing my insurance they were terrible, the details of what I had insured didn't match what they had sent me when I first took out the policy with them, never called back when I phoned them for a re-quote (on more than one occasion). I got the feeling if it was that hard to give them money then getting a pay out from them in the event of an accident/claim would be impossible.

H&R have been very good for me. Chasing the third party, then it ended up with Albany who were much better than I expected from a rent-a-law-firm outfit.

I'll stick with H&R unless I find someone significantly cheaper. MCE came out just a shade cheaper, £20 - but that was a prospective quote including an extra year's no claims so H&R will probably be cheaper still.

Interestingly, I added the options '4 into 1 exhaust', 'custom paint' and 'streetfighter' to my quote for MCE and it went up by SEVEN THOUSAND POUNDS
