I started getting neck pain after a session at the gym about 2 weeks ago which felt like i'd twinged a muscle a bit and thought it would get better over time.

Now it has mostly but I still get some pain at the bottom of my neck/should area when i stretch my neck to its furthest either up/down or left/right. it seems to be the worst though in the morning which is leading me to think that my pillows aren't up to scratch.

They were fairly expensive geese down ones so are lovely and plush but very soft so i'm not sure they are giving me the support I need. I've tried sleeping on my sides and it is still painful and seems to be the best when i'm on my back. Problem is I can never sleep a full night sparked out on my back, I always revert to a side in the recovery position pretty much and even sometimes wake up on my front which I know is no good for your neck at all!

Can anyone recommend any decent pillows that will better support my neck/spine to see if I can shift this pain?

Have seen the Eve pillow but at £59 is a tad expensive, however they do give you the home trial option so I am tempted by them. I don't mind paying a lot for a decent pillow but the majority of places you can't return if it is uncomfy so I may get one of these and try it for 30 days.

For your budget you can get a water pillow. Apart from water making you feel like you are "floating", you can choose how kuch to put in, to adjust height and hardness.

I also have a tempur cloud but that cost more like £90. I found it extremely good but after I got the water pillow It now rests in the guest bedroom.

I'm assuming this is the type of pillow that you are referring to.

My only issue is that if I don't get on with it then its a bit of a waste of money. Or are Amazon a bit more lenient with their returns?

I have what sounds like a similar problem. I have quite nice pillows I got from John Lewis but I have a feeling they may not be helping. i went to an Osteopath and it eased for several months (a year possibly) but the aching pain has been around again for a couple of years.

I've considered something like this:

Not necessarily this one just the same shape but can't bring myself to spend money on something that may not do anything or may make it worse.

Yes that's the one. The only issue is the pillows have water conditioner in them that breaks down as soon as you fill it, so if you do choose to return they'll be able to tell it's been used, so not sure how they will respond.

Number one go see a doctor.

Number two follow there advice.

Self treating a sporting injury is a bad idea it might be pillows it might be a cracked vertebrae get real advice not internet advice!

To be honest ive just gone with 2 Slumberdown Super Support Pillows from amazon which were only £12 to see if they will help by using them with my current soft ones. If they don't help then i'll look at going to the Docs.

I suffered with bad neck pain for a long time. Tried all manor or pillows and ended up with a tempur one wasnt happy with the price and infact bought it with the intention of trying and returning but its without a doubt worth every penny to me, neck pain gone after a week.

No more broken sleep constantly waking up and turning back and fourth 100 recommend.
