Bit of an odd question, but need help on pillow types.
It's about time I replaced my pillows they're leaking down through holes.

Trouble is I can't find what I like and I don't really know what I'm looking for.
I have two down pillows. The one I like, despite having no more down in it weigs about twice as much and feels totally different. Unfortunately it has no label on it, been around several shops and I can't find the same feel. Does anyone have any idea what this down type might be called?

I know you get duck and goose and Hungarian etc, so it must be the type of down it.
Tried buying new ones several times and always come back empty handed, now it's sprung leaks it has to be done.

I sample everywhere, even if its a sneaky rip the bag open, still cant find anything similar :( wish it had a label on it.
No one have any ideas?

Push feathers back in, apply iron on mend material and you've just saved a load of money on a new pillow.

One of the reasons you old pillow may feel heavier if you've had it along time is that it will have absorbed sweat and dead skin over the years. I read something about an analysis of an old pillow a few years ago and it was pretty gross.

See i have thought about that, but for as long as i can remember its never been a fluffed up pillow and always been less full and much denser.

Would rather get new pillows as you can see its getting thread bear in more than one place.
