Been reading about online, people are reporting they are not receiving the promised DMAS headphones with their Crystal Super. People have been kicking off about it, a Pimax rep has commented on Reddit and in their Discord that they are out of stock and will be sent on separately at a later date, but these customers are quite rightly stating (imo) why weren't they informed of this before having to post on social media about it before getting any official word on it. Not good. Also a few non influencer reports of less than perfect displays (dead pixels, mura, CA) but also worth noting some normal customers don't experience any of this. Got to keep it in mind that this is Pimax. I'll have zero hesitation in sending mine back if it is anything less than absolutely fault free.

Yep agree totally. I've never had pimax before but from what I read around and their quality control history - if the Super I receive has any issues it's going straight back, and that's it. Not ******* about with any replacements or any to and fro nonsense.

Can't deny any of that really, but they have made some great headsets (when they work properly), the 8KX is still unmatched for FOV in an affordable headset, the OG Crystal has great clarity. But yes lots of baggage with them. I'm an eternal optimist though
Hey guys if you've ordered your Super before May 1st (like me), this means we don't get a free return if we return it for any other reason than it's faulty. Orders on or after May 1st get this. Just learnt this on the Pimax discord. So if I don't like it and return it I will have to pay a 're-stocking fee', not sure how much that is, it'll say somewhere on their website.
You've got this 100% the wrong way round bud. Who is spouting total misinfo? Orders after 6th May are introducing the new potential restocking fee etc. It was explained in a recent Pimax video, and on here https://pimax.com/pages/returns-refunds
If you ordered before this date (I ordered end of April) then the old terms still apply i.e. totally free returns for up to 14 days if you don't like it.
And even with the new policy post 6th May, if you return it and there are only "minor signs of use" (defined on website page) you still get a full refund with no restocking fee. You just have to pay the shipping fee, or even offset that with a small payment as it says on the site.

Pimax being Pimax? I ordered a Super in large part due to the $399 discount I am supposedly entitled to being an 8KX owner. Filled in the form to apply for the discount where they want evidence of the order number on the purchase invoice and serial number on my 8KX, so sent them a screencap of the invoice which clearly displays the order number, and sent them a photo of 8KX's serial number as it sits on my 8KX.
They replied saying either the order number or serial number is wrong or invalid. Huh? I sent them images of these so I can't have typed anything out wrong. Have said I want a refund if I can't get the discount. Thought it was a bit too good to be true, Pimax promising and not delivering, again. I should know better lol!
EDIT : Actually! Time to eat humble pie and apologise to Pimax. I was refused the discount because I didn't have the order number from Pimax, the Ebay order number is not good enough, I never read the small print and this time it has come back to bite me. Will probably order a Crystal Light which will suit my 5080 better anyway.

I think they have started offering out the DMAS audio again for a limited period
I can understand how people get confused over promotions because how it is portrayed in media clips like YouTube is "just fill this form out with the order number and off you go" as opposed to "this offer is only eligible for customers who ordered directly from Pimax" though in fairness they do keep the video length short and sweet unlike me waffling on for hours

When they were promoting the 8KX trade in offer, when asked did it work with Ebay bought 8KX's?, they said yes as long "original proof of purchase can be supplied', I took that to mean the Ebay proof of purchase, it appears I'm not the only one who thought this, but yeh my mistake. Anyway, this morning I messaged the chap who sold me his 8KX on ebay 3 years ago and as luck would have it he still had the original Pimax order number, which I've given to Pimax, so all being well I will get the discount so can afford the Super in the end. I got my knickers in a twist when I should have calmed down and thought logically about it.

1st April from XRUnbound. I'm in Jersey. Pimax don't send here so had to go via another reseller.
1st April 2025? Ooh that would annoy some who have pre-ordered it from Pimax 12 months ago or more who still haven't received it. Please do tell us what you think of it when you've had chance to use it.
I'm not sure some of those are legit, i saw a comment in the discord and Jennifer couldn't find his order either and it wasn't a pimax order number
Sorry but I'm not sure if I'm following you? I was referring to Toekiller in this forum saying he ordered his Super on April 1st 2025 and saying he is receiving his Super soon from XRUnbound. There are numerous reports online of Super pre-order customers who ordered direct from Pimax still waiting for their Supers to arrive having ordered early/mid 2024.
Yeah I've seen them I seen a few in the super discord saying ordered March 24 still waiting, when questioned the order didn't exist, I don't doubt for a second pimax are useless at delivering on promises but who in there right mind would still be waiting over a year.
If mines not here by October I'll be cancelling unless I get a damn good reason why
I've just changed my optical engine to the Ultrawide, delivery 'July', we'll see.
