1) Do 'modding' garages like the ones on the UK/US show exist?

2) What happens to the insurance after the car has been modded? Surely the car owner has to pay more?

3) What happens if the car is involved in an accident - does the show offer to respray/repair the car?

4) Anyone been on the show or know anyone who has?

The answer to that one is no. They had a show a while back were they revisited the cars and some had wrecked the cars. But the show said they wouldn't fix the damage.

1.Yes of course, the ones they use are proper garages to start with.
2.Should think they probably pay it for them for a year, just a guess though but the insurance will definitely be higher.
3.Nope, as said they have revisited cars that have been crashed and they dont pay for repairs, why would they?
4.Nope.

So with my 2)...they 'win' a chance to have their car done up and then they have to pay another grand a year on insurance for the privilege? Obviously this depends on the driver but normally the 'contestants' are <25 i think.

Its all rubbish anyway. The state of the cars they take in! They couldnt of passed a mot to drive them about in the first place.. Its all staged. They also make a right mess of the cars. Cars in that state dont normally have healthy engines, But they never touch the engine. Dont get me started on westwood lol. Bad crack

2. On the usa show I doubt it makes a difference as far as how payable it is as insurance is incredibly cheap there anyway. Which is probably why you don't see much engine related modifications in the UK version.

1. Of course they do

Yer, Jamie Shaws company. The guy was a max power feature hog in the 90s with his cars. Man the youth of today. Bring back the modded astra and escort vans of the 1996 era lol.

Would that be the same Jamie Shaw that had some crazy Renault 5Turbo in the 90's? I'm sure I've heard the name before.
