Apologies if this has been covered before, just wondering if anyone else has been running into this issue.

Heard about the new Bad Company 2 patch yesterday, got it downloaded and gave it a try. I haven't played BC2 in several months, however now when I'm browsing the available servers, they all show a ping of 999 or "-"?

Anyone else come across this? Gave it a quick google, but I can't seem to find a fix.

Thanks :)

Yeah, just means a server needs a reset. Depends sometimes on COD4 a 999 ping was either a cracked server or disconnect player obv or just needed a reset. Shouldn't be an issue :D

But it wasn't just one server, it was nearly all :(

The game did play just fine, there wasn't any noticeable lag. However I like choosing a server with the least amount of lag, but obviously can't do that at the moment..

Didnt realise they used VOIP

All joking aside though, I've seen some incredible videos on youtube of people with different physical disabilities playing games, it is rather amazing what you can do with a bit of determination.

And on that note I'm rather determined to loose my 999 pings. Any bright suggestions? My other friends don't seem to have this issue. I run ethernet direct to my router...don't really know at all what I can do :(

Ah, figured you were replying to Eames, apologies.

Anyways, back to the issue. Would there perhaps be a file somewhere containing my online/multiplayer info that I can delete/reload? Do games store this kind of information?

A lot of servers show up as 999 ping for me but not all of them. I do however, have a problem with my stats as everything just shows as 0. I have only just started playing BC2 and i am only ranked at level 2 but surely i should have some stats up.

I had this issue for a while as well (a few months back), but next time I logged in all my stats had been updated. Perhaps there's just a wee delay from time to time...
