Ping Issues

Hi All,

I play Counter Strike quite a lot and usually have no issues with ping - it's around 50-60 majority of the time.

The issue I'm having is when the Mrs surfs the web on her laptop - whether it be facebook or general browsing my ping shoots up to over 1000, then goes back down to 50-60 then shoots up again 30 seconds later.

Any idea what it could be? It only happens when she's using the internet on her laptop.

That's just your router managing both connections at once.

If you can get into your router setting and get QoS (Quality of Service) you can set your device to have a higher priority than hers

The Sky Router doesn't have a QOS option :confused:. Is there any other way to do this?

its their tier 2 support & ask for your max delay set to 8ms, yor ping to cs servers will drop to 20-30ms. I have the same issue with FB at the mo when teh wife is on as it spikes to 100ms, gonna switch teh wireless off! It has happened since FB auto starts videos & its a big hit for me on CS as well.
