just a quick question guys, im using a wireless network to access the internet, currently on game servers my ping has been around 70ms sometimes spiking and hitting 200 ms would changing to a wired network decrease this ping? because although i dont experience any lag and have never been kicked, i would like to have a lower ping to prevent this from happening in the future, if this would not work can you recommend any ways of decreasing my ping?

edit: i know that ping is ISP dependant but surely, something at the users end can add to it, this is what i want to sort out.

It might help, but it might not. Depends how much the wireless network is adding.

Short of changing ISP (or moving), there isn't much you can do if it isn't within your network.

thanx tolien, ill give it a go and see what happens because i really dont feel like changing ISPs
