i am new to linux and have a small problem i am using an acer laptop a 5310 , i have disconnected the laptop lcd and i am connected through the laptop vga out to my 1900x1080 120 hz monitor .
problem is the scren res wont go above 1024x768 and is 4.3
i have tried to use the terminal window and xrandr to force 1900x1080x60 but it always says that it cant find mode .
please help some one , also i have intel 945g chipset and graphics , is there anyone out there that can ssend me a link to the gfx driver and chipset that i need to install ? thanks guys !
