The memory can be a dual- or quad-channel system, utilising high-speed DDR5 SODIMM RAM modules. You can choose capacities up to 192GB, ensuring you have the memory solution to support your workflows.

For storage, there are four available M.2 slots, and each can support up to 8TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSDs with a max capacity of 32TB. One slot is compatible with PCIe 5.0, so you can take advantage of the lightning fast read and write speeds this standard provides.

Finally, you can choose between Windows 11 Home or Pro for your operating system.

if they are exclusive for uk , why do they have a US keyboard and a tiny enter key... :D

What bits can we upgrade at a later point? SDDs? RAM? CPU?

How easy are they to maintain and how easy is it to get replacement parts?
Such as the battery as that's probably something that needs replacing on a lot of laptops?

Does it have a dedicated charging port or does it use a USB-c connector? How easy is that to replace?

What are the hinges like? I've on some laptop the hinges can give out (I think because they glue or screw metal hinges into plastic)

SSDs and RAM only

Faults we will deal with. Adding parts you have to remove the back cover to get access to the SSD's and RAM.

We will replace in the 1 year warranty but we have access to buy batteries to sell if outside of warranty or a backup is required. You just need to remove the back cover to replace.

It has it's own dedicated power port at the rear of the laptop. If this is damaged we can try and help with getting this repaired. We will hold a limited number of spare parts but we can't hold everything unfortunately. The laptops have a service center in the UK for anything we can't do in house.

The hinges are metal and covered by plastic. The cover for the hinge is pretty solid these days compared to past models.

Thanks for taking the time to answer these.
I didn't think the CPU would be upgradeable, but being a highend machine I thought maybe.
When asking about servicing and parts I'm mostly thinking about when it's out of warranty as it's an expensive bit of kit to throw away if it breaks after the warranty is up (and I'm thinking battery, charging port and hinges are the most likely to wear out and possibly the keyboard).
A little disappointing that the battery, something that is almost guaranteed to need replacing at some point, only has a 1 year warranty.

On the older versions of the laptops the CPU's could be changed but the issue was when supply of the CPU's stopped you would end up with loads of chassis you can't use. They now implement the GPU and CPU into the board and we have to pick which versions we want.

Outside of warranty we can still probably help you with parts but we would have to charge for the parts. I would have to find out if customers are able to buy direct from the service center but this has not been mentioned before. Looking inside the laptop most parts can be swapped pretty easy if you are experienced in these things.

The 1 year warranty on the battery could be the reason why some of the other brands only offer a 1 year warranty total.
