Pinnacle Tv Card can't tune in properly. total FAIL

So

I thought i'd give this media center thing a bash but the pinnacle pctv tuner cannot tune into a single channel properly??

Detects fine and installed the software, then did the scan in MCE and the software it came with.

It found a load of channels but can't display much with skipping and mostly nothing at all.

BEFORE you say it, the same lead plugged into the TV gives excellent picture without errors or skipping on all channels so thats not the problem.

Ok well i tried connecting the antenna out from the tv back to the tv card and it still can't pick up most of the channels apart from like bbc parliament lol

Have you got the latest drivers and had a look at the FAQs on the support site here http://www.pinnaclesys.com/publicsite/uk/Support/Consumer+Support/ .

i have found tv cards need a lot stronger signal that the tv needs to work.

Latest drivesr are from april 2007 so im pretty sure they are same as on cd as i did try auto update from the tv center program.

Yeah this is totally crap though, how is anyone supposed to guess the signal level needed for this to work.
