Pioneer pdp-436xde? Old but any good

Just been giving the above plasma & media box

Are they any good? (In there day? ) its in mint condition
And sky hd looks good too. I may keep it if any good

I've got into the installer menu and says
It's done 5130 hours

Not personally used one but my old Pioneer from around the same time still beats the pants off any new TV under £700.

I still use a 436xde in my living room and the picture is still better then most other TV's i seen...

The only downside is the blacks are not that great in a dark room compared to the later pioneer 8th & 9th gen kuro plasma's or today panny plasma's

Ive still got one which has been relegated to our back room but its still a great TV and can still hold its own against many new TV's .......and for free ...... nice.

I'd keep it, they go for around 2-300 quid but even the latest LCD/plasmas arnt much compared to it

I'd keep it.Pioneer made the best panels bar none and many argue(myself included) that the last generation Kuro's have a picture quality that has yet to be beaten.
The model you have will be a "pure vision" and these were renowned for just that,a beautifully natural picture,unlike the cartoon like images of some of todays LCD panels.Enjoy!!
