Something strange just happened, I went todo Mothership Zeta, but the cutscene froze (I was able too load and save though) so I loaded up my last save, now my Pip-Boy is like chrome instead of it's usual dark metal look, anybody else had this bug before?

yaeh if this happens or your sound gets all distorted and crackly save and reset your console beacuse its due for a freeze

Never heard of that bug before. When you said it was shiny I instantly thought of Pimp Boy 3 Billion, but then noticed you said FO3. :)

Yeah that was my initial thought too :P Ever had the glitch where you have infinite stealth boy? That was a weird one I have encountered. Or where you'd go places around the Mojave and fiends would fall from the sky and crumple in front of you? Oh Fallout, you so random.

Never had the infinite Stealth Boy. :D

I always get horrible ones like Giant Radscorpions spawning indoors, or enemies getting killed in a doorway and then their arms and legs flailing around like mad, with the door constantly making the opening and closing noises. :p

The flailing limbs one always makes me giggle *teehee*! I once had that Dog (Cheyenne) from goodsprings spawn inside Hidden Valley! All the paladings went berserk and started shooting me and Boone and completely missed the dog!

Bahaha. :D

Currently on what must be my 10th playthrough of FO3 or something silly. Taking a break from it at the moment until I gather the motivation to finish the main quest, already did all the named side quests apart from The Nuka Cola Challenge, only have about 20 Quantums and you need 30. Plus I don't have Broken Steel installed so I can't get the Quantum Chemist perk.

If you were still on PS3 I'd give you the add-ons  I know what you mean about that main quest, I think the NV one was a lot more gripping whereas in FO3 I just got bored half way through and started modding it (PC). Bought it again on PS3 and did the same thing. I dunno about that quest just drags on a bit.

Ah I much prefer the main quest in Fallout 3, in fact I just like the game better than New Vegas in general. Apart from a couple of things I'm almost a walking encyclopaedia on Fallout 3, whereas on New Vegas I've only really played it through a couple of times and scratched the surface. It just doesn't do it for me, I think it's the Mojave Wasteland more than anything. Don't get me wrong, I love them both and they're two of the best games I've ever played in my short life but the Capital Wasteland is way better for me.

Better scenery, better landmarks, more places that are recognisable like the Arlington Cemetary, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and then the places that you can see from miles away like Tenpenny Tower. The only things that bug me are the metro tunnels but once you get used to them they're okay, though I was happy to see the back of them in New Vegas. :)

I also think Fallout 3 has much better weaponry. The custom weapons that you can build in Fallout 3 are all epic, don't think I built a single one in New Vegas, in fact I don't think the game even has the schematics to do so. I know you can buy parts and modify your weapons but it's just not the same for me. I loved finding all the individual components and then seeing how they fitted together on the weapon, and how the weapon worked. Some of them were absolutely devastating like the Dart Gun which instantly cripples legs and starts draining HP, even better is the damage stacking per dart. :D

It's little touches like that which make Fallout 3 better in my opinion and I also really loved all of the DLC's apart from Mothership Zeta which felt like a monotonous corridor fest. Point Lookout was really impressive as a DLC and it was definitely worth the money, also I loved The Pitt and the whole industrial-ness to it. It felt really eerie and not a nice place to be which is an epic achievement for a game to give that kind of feeling to me. Broken Steel was good, but short, though I loved some of the weapons that it added like the Tesla Cannon and then of course you get to see the after-effect of The Purifier with some of the quests like The Amazing Aqua Cura and the various caravans distributing the clean water throughout the wastes.

The thing I love most about Fallout is the attention to detail. Like in The Amazing Aqua Cura you've got the Ghouls selling dirty water but claiming it's a miracle which can restore hair. Pickpocketing Griffon shows he's just wearing a wig and selling the dirty water at high prices, I just love the little touches like that. They really make the game something better than your average thing.

It's the same with the weapon schematics, you can really see how each component makes the weapon, the surgical tubing acting as a rubber band to fire the darts from the Dart Gun for example, or the motorcycle handbrake used on the Shishkebab. Sorry for rambling on, but I could really talk about Fallout 3 all day. :p

I agree, I think Fallout 3 is better (not saying Fallout NV is bad though), maybe its my love for the BoS :D, however I'm enjoying Zeta

New Vegas is definitely not bad either. :D

Some parts for me are better than FO3, and some worse. FO3 wins but ultimately it's Fallout in general that wins. Definitely my favourite series of games on the current gen of consoles. :D

The worst bug I found was on PC. Sometimes it'd bug out so that when you walked through a door you would fall straight through the map, as if the floor wasn't even there. The worst thing was reloading your quicksave didn't fix it! :(

Yeah the Gamebryo engine is buggy as hell. Hopefully the new engine powering Skyrim will also be used in the new Fallout game. :)

Also... "Skyrim" sounds like some kind of homo act. :p

Hope we do get another Fallout this gen using the Skyrim engine, FO3 is probably one of my favourite games of all time. NV is good, but just didn't grab me the same way.

And FO3 will always have a special place in my heart, as it's the only game that I've ever made money from. Selling on its Collectors Edition guides, must have made over £200 profit from those bad boys:D

You got your payout in pre-war money? Pfft noob, should've been paid in caps. :D :D
