Hi,

I am trying to set up PIP on my Dell 2405.

I know I can't combine D-sub and DVi as my two sources for PIP to work on this monitor.

I found a 4 pin composite lead which I connected up, to the Dell and my PC, but no matter what the Dell keeps telling me there is no signal.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

4 pin composite? Composite is just like a single phono wire. 4-pin sounds like s-video. I dunno what you've got it connected to at the other end though - you need to use the special tv-out cable that came with your video card, you don't just plug the s-video cable straight into your video card.

Find the box for your video card and there will probably be a weird little cable in there which you've never used before with an s-video like connector on one end (which goes into your video card) and then 2 s-video (input/output) and 2 composite connectors on the other end. Then you just need to set your video card to output to the 2nd display (which it will probably think is a TV). Then select s-video for your PIP source.

Just can use composite instead but it will look a lot worse.
