Pixel 5 to Pixel 7, Anyone done it?

My 2yr contract with EE runs out in 2 weeks, and was originally planning to drop to sim only, as I have really enjoyed my Pixel 5 ownership.
But, I am considering calling EE to see what they can do on a Pixel 7. For Comparison, my Pixel 5 cost me £ 33ppm, 120gb data, unlimited calls etc. over 2 years.
Hoping to get something similar, but don`t know how optimistic that is.

Anyone gone to the 7 and wished they hadn't?
Anything to be aware of that may not be obvious?

Wondering the same myself except I bought the 5 outright and just had a SIM only deal running.

Been looking at the 7 Pro. The 5 has been great and wondering if it's worth the change as it's still a good handset

I went from the 5 to the 7pro. For me the zoom on the camera was the main reason I switched. Not sure I'd bother going from the 5 to normal 7 due to lack of zoom but guess really depends on how much you value the camera.
I still sort of miss the size/weight of the 5 but not as much as I thought I would.

How does the pro differ in that regard I assume bigger/heavier?

How much bigger is it in practice?

I see Argos have an offer "ending today" to get £100 extra trade in when buying a pixel phone.

They currently only give £55 for a pixel 5 so I assume unless there's a hidden clause, I'd get £155.

They also have interest free for 12 months

Thank you all.

Waiting for a call back from EE. Nothing wrong with my 5, so no rush.
See what EE come back with. I also have the option to wait, and buy the phone outright when next on offer.

There isn’t a huge difference between the 5 and 7 in general usage. Where you’ll see a difference is the under display finger print scanner isn’t as good as the rear one on the 5. The camera on the 7 is better in lower to medium lighting and has better features like magic eraser and unblur. The processor in the 7 is much better than the 5 so things like games run better. The 7 is obviously bigger and heavier but not so much that it’s a problem. Video on the 7 is massively better than the 5 and battery is very good on the 7.

Many things are better over the 5.

The haptics are stronger
The earpiece and speakers are way better
The screen is brighter
Picture processing is way quicker
Plus the things already mentioned.
