I've noticed on my New 22" LCD that on certain backgrounds the is a white kind of shadow around the lettering is this common with all TN panels and does anybody else suffer from this.

are you running at full native 1680 x 1050 res and at 60Hz refresh? maybe try clear type too? are you using DVI?

Im running Vista so clear type on by default Native rez 1680x1050 yes using DVI basically it a problem that bugging me more than anything as i never had this on my 19" widescreen and that was a TN screen to.

Not tried it on another pc as i know there nothing wrong with this one it's werid to explain what it like it mainly shows up on a grey backgrounds on black text it has a slight white outline around the letters.

Do you mean like a halo around the text? I get this very subtle halo around text especially when looking at black text on a light grey background. It is also angle dependent and only shows up if I'm looking at it from below. It's pretty much like what you get when you over sharpen an image in photoshop.

The only way I know of avoiding it is to lower the sharpness setting on your monitor (if it has one) or use a VGA cable.

Yip that the very problem and funny enuf looking at the menu it does have a sharpness hidden away lowered it to 4 and bingo it gone cheers.
