Hi All,
Didn't know where to post this.

I am trying to play ANNO2070 but it keeps freezing and my screen becomes partially pixelated across whole screen.

The only way out is to end task in task manager but that leaves me with a black band across screen (1/3 down from top.

Any suggestions.

Spec is as signature with Samsung32580 1080 tv as screen.

Edit (Forgot to add I restarted pc but when it came back on I had a messgae saying it was windows was stopped unexpectedly or something like that and the offere was to start in normal mo9de which I did.) Retried game same problem.

only happen in this game and no others?

tried altering the settings / res / quality etc off ultra onto high etc?

tried newer drivers?

game all up to date, patches etc

post a system error log as show us what your error says in there

if memory serves me right, game was a bit memory hungry and didn't use it very well, needed a lot of patches to make it work well, seems also a lot of error still with the game for some with a google search etc

also if you would, turn off your over clock and re try game, save settings etc in bios so you can revert if it doesn't work, im guessing it will / might :)

changed all settings to medium but as soon as I try to launch game pixelation re-occurs and screen freezes.

Will give FarCry3 a go and see what happens.

Tried FarCry3, even worse, wouldn't even load game menu.

did you try an turn of your over clock?

same errors?

do you use a clean gaming profile?

ie not have all stuff like printers and other junk loaded when gaming?

the less process the better = more power for games

i only asked as it may be clock related etc, as it only happens in games, and its game which seem to max out your stuff etc.

but also if you have a different monitor to try just in case its a refresh issue etc

i have the same spec and overclock apart from i have the i7 version etc, same board and ram, cooler etc but a different vga card, don't have the issues with the games etc
