im currently building a htpc, can anyone recomend a Pico PSU?
i can only find 150w which wouldn't be powerful enough, whats the most powerful available?
thanks
I found one with 12A on the 12v just by searching for 200W pico PSU.
Tricky to get a power brick for that many Amps though, I'd have thought.
What sort of kit have you got in this HTPC. Perhaps of its that power hungry you should consider a low wattage ATX or maybe a SFF switching power supply.
hello,
spec so far will be
Asus F1A75-M AMD A75 Chipset (Socket FM1) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard
AMD Llano A6-3500 2.40GHz (Socket FM1) APU Processor
Samsung SH-B123L/BSBP 12x BluRay ROM
Be Quiet Shadow Rock Top Flow CPU Cooler (Socket Intel: LGA 775/1155/1156/1366/AMD:AM2/AM2+/AM3/754/939/940/FM1)
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX)
Silverstone SST-ML03B USB3.0 PC Case
I already have a 2TB HDD SATA
I think you'd probably be ok with a 150W PSu, unless you are the sort of person who uses their HTPC to run Prime95 and Furmark contantly, and then maybe even then it'd be ok. Just reading about power draw on AVForums and it's around 110W for the entire system.
