Placement of a wireless router ona small network

Hi guys,

One of my guys is working on a site that doesn't have a DHCP server. They've got a DHCP capable wireless router (Netgear WGR614).

He was just wondering, the router has 1 internet in port, and then 4 lan outlet ports.

Does it HAVE to sit between the internet connection switch and the main switch stack, or can it just sit anywhere on the network?

It could sit anyware on the network. Its only the same as having a dhcp server plugged into a switch on the top floor of an office.
