Placement of Centre Speaker

Ever since I got the Logitech Z-5500 system, I have placed it just being my monitor, raising it up with 3 toilet rolls.

Now that I have a webcam on the monitor and am getting the Logitech Desktop MX 3000, the whole toilet roll thing looks stupid, so what can I do to make it looks nicer?

I have read that you can either place it on top of the monitor facing downwards, or below the monitor facing upwards... but with both options, I need something to support it.

TBH, You'll just have to live with it, I have the G500 and the centre speakers just sits infront of my moniter, I wanna wall mount it but I keep moving it aswell :p

Try putting it behind the monitor? Under the desk? Hanging on a piece of string? Get a monkey to hold it for you? Can you tell I'm short of ideas?

I just took out the toilet rolls and put it at the front, but its a big distraction from the actual screen, because its just there in your face.

I think I need to put something below the monitor to raise it up a bit...

Assuming that speaker comes off it's little stand, you need a build or buy a box to stand the monitor on with enough room for the speaker to sit inside. Pop into staples or see if there's something in the argos catalogue. You should seperate your front speakers a bit more btw.

Sorry for the bump - I found this thread whilst searching for something else.

One solution not mentioned is what I did ages ago and still use - I got a cheapo 'copy holder' off an auction site - a model that g-clamps onto the desk.
Sprayed it with black plastikote, and drilled a hole to attach the speaker at the top of the extension arm. It sits behind my TFT, I can't see the supporting arm, just the speaker floating 1 inch above my screen. Works a treat :)
