Hey all,

Looking to shift all my old DVDs (104 in total), but the site I've found that offers a buy-back scheme is giving me a pretty random bag of terrible offers.

Example:
  • 67p for 2 disc Italian Job (old) & Italian Job (new)
  • £2.79 for 2 disc Spinal DVD

On average the buy-back price per disc is around 50p netting just over £52. These will be sent freepost, however if they deem the packaging to be too badly damaged they won't return the disc!

Seems like a big risk to take (none are damaged, but that's not to say they won't be after postage).

Anyone done it.. who'd you use?

Selling DVD's is a pain in the rear. They're worth in general so little now (and new ones depreciate quickly).

£52 for 104 doesn't sound that great an offer. I'd stick them up either e.g. here, but then you have extra costs like envelopes, tape etc. The same would apply for eBay unless you sell it as a job lot. That'd be my best bet, I'm sure once you take out materials and the ridiculous fees you'd probably be up more than £52.

I've been considering just going fully electronic and getting an Apple TV.

Blockbuster will buy DVDs. However the same cack RoI exists regardless of where you go.
